ScubaTogether (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your personal information when you use our mobile and web application.

We collect personal information you provide when registering or using the app, including:

• Email address
• Emergency contact details
• Group membership information

Dive Data

We store information related to your dive trips, such as:

• Dive times and dates
• Depth
• Air usage

Note: This data may be considered health-related depending on your location.

Photos and Media

You may upload photos related to dive trips or profile images. These are stored securely.

Authentication Data

We use Firebase Authentication. Login options include:

• Email and password
• Google account
• Facebook account

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and improve ScubaTogether’s features
• Plan and manage dive trips
• Log and track diver check-ins/outs
• Share key trip data with relevant group members (e.g. emergency contacts)

We do not currently use your data for advertising or analytics, but may do so in future with anonymised and aggregated data only.

3. Data Sharing

We may share:

• Your name and emergency contact details with other members on the same dive trip
• Anonymised, aggregated data with third parties in the future

We do not sell your personal data.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored using Firebase services:

• Encrypted in transit and at rest
• Regularly backed up and secured

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access and export your data
• Delete your account and all associated data

Requests can be made through the app or by contacting support.

6. Children’s Privacy

ScubaTogether is not designed specifically for children under 13. While we do not prohibit access, we do not knowingly collect personal data from users under this age without parental consent. If you believe we have collected such data in error, contact us immediately.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as features change. We will notify users through the app or email if material changes occur.
